Description
Memory for Forgetfulness is one of the most prominent works of the poet Mahmoud Darwish. This poem is a prose poem that talks about “Hiroshima Day” during the Lebanese Civil War and the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. Darwish uses the symbolism of birth, death, coffee and doves to discuss the fear of existence during the Lebanese Civil War and the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.
