Description
Set in the Salinas Valley of California, Steinbeck chronicles the history of two families, the Trasks and the Hamiltons, over several generations. He focuses particularly on brothers Caleb (Caleb) and Aaron Trask, who mirror the biblical story of Cain and Abel.
