Description
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, a prominent Syrian political and cultural figure, published a substantial book exceeding one thousand pages. This book contains over three hundred articles covering her opinions published between 2015 and 2020. In essence, she chronicled Syrian political developments and their regional and international implications during the height of the conflict surrounding Syria.
This series of articles serves as a form of political and analytical observation of the events that accompanied the war in Syria, following Dr. Shaaban’s hiatus from writing after the outbreak of the war on Syria and the Syrian people in 2011, up until January 2015.
A close examination of the titles and content of the published articles reveals the author’s desire to encompass all the factors that confronted the Syrian crisis and Syrian politics during the period covered by the book, along with the connections of this crisis to the broader Arab context.
