Description
During a trip with the renowned scientist Catherine Solomon—invited to give a lecture in Prague—Robert Langdon finds himself caught in a whirlwind of uncontrollable events when Catherine vanishes without a trace from their hotel room. Far from home and beyond his familiar surroundings, Langdon is forced to confront unknown forces to reclaim the woman he loves.
But Prague is an ancient city, steeped in legend and shrouded in mystery. For two thousand years, it has been tossed about by the waves of history, leaving echoes of past events and upheavals in its very stones. Little does Langdon know that a specter from the city’s dark past is watching him closely. He finds himself compelled to draw upon all the obscure knowledge he possesses to decipher the mysteries of this world before he, too, is swallowed by the same maelstrom of deceit and betrayal that engulfed Catherine.
Thus, Langdon finds himself in a secret city that hides in broad daylight, a city that has kept its secrets for centuries and will not easily reveal them.
It is a battlefield unlike any he has ever seen, where he will have to fight not only for his own life but for the future of humanity itself.
In “The Secret of Secrets,” Dan Brown returns to the world of fiction after a long absence, bringing back Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon in a new adventure that leads him to the heart of a conspiracy that will test his genius to its limits.
