The famous detective Sherlock Holmes investigates a mysterious curse surrounding the Baskerville family after one of its members dies in strange circumstances.

It is a mystery and adventure story that does not attempt to present deep and complex characters or questions about the nature of society. Its strength lies in the way the action/drama develops, taking us from the comfortable and secure surroundings of Baker Street in London to the cold and unwelcoming Baskerville manor in the wild and violent lands of Dartmoor. The story begins with a visit from Dr. Mortimer to Holmes and Watson at Baker Street in London. The doctor has a strange story to tell about the death of his dear friend and neighbor, Sir Charles Baskerville, and the terrible curse of the evil dog that has terrorized the Baskerville family for centuries. Holmes is interested in the story and sends Watson to Baskerville manor to find out more. Watson soon comes into contact with a series of mysterious people. Seldon, an escaped prisoner; Stapleton, a strange naturalist, and his beautiful sister; the servant Barrymore and his wife. They all behave suspiciously and all have dark secrets. They live in a world of windswept, misty moors, inhospitable houses, and eerie, unearthly sounds. At the center of it all is Baskerville Manor, and it soon becomes clear that the young Sir Henry Baskerville, who has finally arrived and left the manor with his uncle, Sir Charles Baskerville, is in terrible danger. Will Watson be able to protect him? Where is Sherlock Holmes? Has Sir Henry really been left to face the family curse alone?
