Adania Shibli is a writer born in Palestine in 1974. She lives in Berlin and has twice won the Abdul Mohsen Qattan Foundation Award for Young Writers, first for her novels “Touch” and “We Are All Equally Far from Love.” Her works have been translated into several languages, including English, French, German, Italian, and Hebrew. Her 2017 novel “A Minor Detail,” published by Dar Al-Adab, won the 2023 Liberato Presse Prize, a literary award awarded by the German Literary Association (Lettbrumm), after being translated into German by Günter Ort. In 2021, in its English translation by Elisabeth Jacquet, the novel was shortlisted for the Booker International Prize and in 2022 was shortlisted for the International Literature Prize awarded by the House of World Cultures in Berlin.
