Ahmed Khaled Tawfik (June 10, 1962 – April 2, 2018), an Egyptian university professor, doctor, writer, author, and translator. He is considered the first Arab writer in the field of horror literature. He is most famous in the fields of youth literature, fantasy, and science fiction. He was nicknamed “The Godfather”.
His literary journey began with writing the Paranormal series, and although horror literature was not prevalent at the time, the series achieved great success and was well received by the public. Which encouraged him to complete it, and then he published the Fantasia series in 1995, and the Safari series in 1996. In 2006, the WWW series.
Ahmed Tawfik wrote novels that achieved wide popular success, the most famous of which is the novel Utopia in 2008, which was translated into several languages, and was republished in later years. As well as the novel “The Singa” which was published in 2012, and the novel “Like Icarus” in 2015. Then the novel “In the Rat Alley” which was published in 2016, in addition to other works such as: Burnable Scraps, Mind Without a Body, and Now We Open the Box which was published in three parts.
