Tumadhir bint Amr ibn al-Harith al-Sulamiyyah, known as al-Khansa, (575 AD – 24 AH / 645 AD), a female companion and poet, lived during the pre-Islamic era and Islam and converted to Islam. She was famous for her lamentations for her two brothers, Sakhr and Muawiyah, who were killed during the pre-Islamic era. She was nicknamed al-Khansa because of the high tips of her nose.
