Abu Tayeb Al-Mutanabbi Ahmad ibn Al-Husayn Al-Ju’fi Al-Kindi Al-Kufi (303-354 AH / 915-965 AD) is a great poet who was nicknamed the Poet of the Arabs, and filled the world and occupied the people. He had a lofty status that was not available to any other Arab poet after Islam. He was described as a rarity of his time and a marvel of his age. His poetry has remained a source of inspiration for poets and writers to this day. He is a wise poet and one of the glories of Arabic literature. Most of his poems revolve around himself and praise of kings. His poetic talent appeared early; he wrote poetry as a boy and composed his first poems at the age of 9 years. He was famous for his sharp intelligence and diligence.
