Ghada Ahmed Al-Samman (born 1942) is a Syrian writer and novelist . She was born in Damascus to a Damascene family. [ 1 ] She published her first collection of short stories, “Your Eyes Are My Destiny,” in 1962 and was considered one of the feminist writers who emerged during that period, such as Colette Khoury and Laila Baalbaki . She was able to present different and alternative literature outside the narrow framework of women’s problems and feminist movements.
