Issa Al-Sheikh Hassan is a Syrian poet and writer who has resided in Qatar since the 1990s. He was born in the village of Umm Al-Fursan in the countryside of Qamishli, northeastern Syria, in 1965. Sheikh Hassan is one of the most prominent Syrian poets living abroad and holds a degree in Arabic language.
