Jack London was born in 1876 in America and died there in 1916. His father was a priest who practiced astrologers, fortune-tellers, and psychics. Therefore, in socialist and Marxist literature, Jack London is described as descended from the petty bourgeoisie, working in the service of the working class. He experienced the bitterness of life and held various jobs, including journalism, factory labor, highway robbery, marine police, ship captain, student, newspaper reporter, miner, and others. It is said that he committed suicide and died due to the crisis he was going through, and that he suffered from many illnesses, such as addiction and other fatal diseases.
