He was born in the second city of Al-Hurriyah in Baghdad in 1966. In 1969, his family moved to live in the village of Al-Zuhairat in Diyala Governorate, a village about (96 km) away from Baghdad Governorate. He remained there until 1992 when he returned to Baghdad until he left Iraq. He lived in the period between 2001-2005 in Jabal Al-Qusur in Amman, the capital of Jordan, until he moved to the city of Sydney in Australia.
