Jamil bin Muammar, nicknamed Jamil Buthaina, is Jamil bin Abdullah bin Maammar Al-Udhri Al-Quda’i, and is known as Abu Amr (d. 82 AH / 701 AD), a poet and one of the famous Arab lovers. He was eloquent, prominent, and a collector of poetry and narration. His poetry influenced the erotic, flirting, and pride, and the least of it was in praise. At first, he was a narrator of the poetry of Hudbah bin Khashram, as Katheer Azza was a narrator of Jamil later on. He was nicknamed Jamil Buthaina because of his intense love for Buthaina bint Hayyan.
