He was born on June 15, 1920 in the village of Al-Adwa in the Sharqia Governorate. He spent his childhood years in the village’s Kuttab, then traveled to Cairo to study at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and progressed through education until he graduated in 1364 AH – 1945 AD. When his father, Muhammad Khalid, decided to send him to Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, he took him to Cairo and entrusted him to his eldest son, Hussein, to teach him the entire Quran. This was the condition for joining Al-Azhar at that time.
