Khawla Hamdi is a Tunisian writer and a university professor of information technology at King Saud University in Riyadh.
She was born in 1984 in Tunis, and obtained a degree in industrial engineering and a master’s degree from the “Mines” School in the French city of Saint-Etienne in 2008, and a doctorate in operations research (a branch of applied mathematics) from the University of Technology in the French city of Troyes in 2011.
Her first novel is “Jasmine’s Alienation”, then her second novel was published in 2012 under the title “In My Heart is a Hebrew Woman”, which is inspired by the true story of a Tunisian Jewish woman (Nada) who converted to Islam after being influenced by the character of a Muslim girl (Rima), an orphan who bravely faced life, and by the character of a Lebanese young man (Ahmed), a resistance fighter who left an imprint on her life.
