Dr. Leslie Baker Phelps, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York. She treats individuals and couples from her New Jersey office. She also offers self-help counseling internationally to those who read her work. She is a member of the clinical staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset. She has worked there since 1997, when it was Somerset Medical Center, where she served as Clinical Director of Women’s Psychology Services and Chair of the Department of Psychology. Dr. Baker Phelps is a prolific writer. She is the author of Recovering from Rejection (New Harbinger, 2019) and Insecure in Love (New Harbinger, 2014). She was a consulting psychologist on the book Love: The Psychology of Attraction (DK Publishing, 2016), which was a finalist for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s 2017 Books for a Better Life Award. Dr. Becker-Phillips is a regular contributor to the WebMD Relationships blog and also writes the blog “Making the Change” for Psychology Today.
