Maysaloun Hadi is an Iraqi author, writer, journalist, and novelist. She was born in Al-A’dhamiyah, Baghdad, and completed her primary education at Al-Khansa’a Girls’ School, and her intermediate and secondary education at Al-Yarmouk Intermediate School and Al-Wathba Girls’ Secondary School. She graduated from the Department of Statistics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Baghdad, in 1976. She worked in cultural journalism for thirty years, serving as an editorial secretary for several cultural periodicals, such as Al-Mawsoo’a Al-Saghira and Al-Tali’a Al-Adabiyya magazine, and in the cultural section of Alif Ba’a magazine. She is now a full-time writer. She is married to critic Dr. Najm Abdullah Kadhim, and they have two sons and a daughter.
