Mustafa Sadiq Al-Rafei (1298-1356 AH / 1880-1937 AD) was an Egyptian writer and thinker of Syrian origin. He was nicknamed the Miracle of Arabic Literature and the Sheikh of Arabic Writers. He belongs to the conservative school, which is a school of poetry affiliated with classical poetry.

His father held the position of Sharia judge in many regions of Egypt, and his last job was the presidency of the Tanta Sharia Court. As for Al-Rafei’s mother, she was of Syrian origin like his father, and her father, Sheikh Al-Tawkhi, was a merchant whose caravans traveled between Egypt and the Levant. He was originally from Aleppo and lived in Behtim, a village in Qalyubia Governorate.
