Reem Bassiouny, an Egyptian writer, novelist, and professor at the American University, has won many awards, including: the Sawiris Culture Award for her novel “Doctor Hanaa”, the Best Translated Work Award in the United States of America for her novel “The Pistachio Seller”, the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature from the Supreme Council of Culture for her novel “Awlad El Nas: The Mamluk Trilogy”, and the Sheikh Zayed Book Award in 2024.
