Antoinette Maguire, also known as Toni Maguire (born September 17, 1944), is an Irish writer. She has published two autobiographies, five memoirs, and one novel.
Maguire was born in Ireland to an Irish father and a British mother.
Shortly after Maguire’s birth, her father served in the army, while she moved to live with her mother in Britain, near her grandmother’s house.
Her first book, the autobiography “Don’t Tell Mama,” was published in 2007 and is considered a bestseller. It was translated into Arabic and published by the Arab Cultural Center in 2016.
Following the success of her first book, she was encouraged to publish a sequel, “They Let Daddy Come Back,” which follows her own childhood struggles.
