A book that reviews the history of the Sabians and their impact on the Islamic world, revealing new aspects of their understanding and cultural and religious influence.

This book includes a summary of research on the Sabians of the Holy Qur’an and their relationship with the Sabians who were known in the House of Islam for that Islam.

We do not find it necessary to enter into a discussion with two reasons that justify its origin, as Coulson was in the middle of the nineteenth century the first and last researcher who tried to contain the subject completely. After him, the research often dealt with our belief in reconsidering the subject of the Sabians on the margins of the studies devoted to this or that subject, which intersects with this or that aspect of the issue.

As for us, today we have a significant number of texts that neither Coulson nor those who followed Coulson knew, texts whose importance stems from the fact that they date back in a significant part to the second century AH and the beginning of the third century, as they add to our knowledge of the Sabians what was not known until yesterday and radically change our understanding of some of what was known, and make this or that assumption invalid in general and in detail and thus dispense with its discussion.
