It is a book by Abu Muhammad Abdul Malik bin Hisham bin Ayoub Al-Himyari Al-Basri, who died in the year (218 AH), narrated by Muhammad bin Ishaq (d. 151 AH), after he took permission to narrate it from Ziyad bin Abdullah Al-Bakai (d. 183 AH). Ibn Hisham made some modifications to Ibn Ishaq, adding and deleting, as he refined it, and Ibn Hisham deleted many of the stories of the Israelites, and the fabricated poems until the biography became known by the name of Ibn Hisham, and researchers took an interest in it, and many explanations and summaries were written on it.
