The Great Issues

When we remember Bennabi, this means that we are talking about the meaning of existence, the art of building the nation, the historical future, the art of building the concept of humanity at the end of the century. This book (The Great Issues) includes texts of five lectures given by Malek Bennabi in Algeria or abroad.

They came in this book under the title (The Great Issues, where this phrase seems more in agreement with the orientations of Bennabi, because it includes a systematic definition of the concepts that he addressed in these lectures collected between the covers of the book, and these lectures are linked by the unity of Malek Bennabi’s intellectual approach, as they addressed the concepts of civilization, culture, and ideology, in a manner consistent with the presentation of an intellectual behavioral structure related to the origins of Islamic civilization and its social components, which he explained in the fourth lecture under the title (Democracy in Islam). Then this collection came to talk about the extent to which Western civilization shaped the formation of thought and culture in our present society through the production of Orientalists).

In light of all this, it can be said that Ibn Nabi’s thought is qualified to be the starting point for thought and vision in the young generation that is still immersed in the chaos of direction, the vagueness of visions, and the testing of solutions.
