Description
This trilogy, a continuation of “The Palestinian Comedy,” comprises three novels: “Shadows of the Keys,” “The Biography of an Eye,” and “A Tank Under the Christmas Tree.” About Palestine—love, art, photography, song, music, and human heroism—”The Bells Trilogy,” the epic work by poet and novelist Ibrahim Nasrallah, winner of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (the Booker Prize) in 2018, forms what can be described as a novel of novels, interconnected yet distinct. Readers can engage with any one of the novels as an independent work, or read the trilogy as a whole as a multifaceted, integrated narrative of a single story: the story of Palestine during the twentieth century.
