He embarks on a journey that takes him to several homelands, each one of which reveals the wonders of faith, social systems, and methods of government. However, he is repeatedly interrupted by love, marriage, childbirth, and imprisonment. Nevertheless, he continues his journey from one abode to another until he reaches the Abode of Sunset, the final stop before the Abode of the Mountain, where it is rumored that humans have discovered the ideal cure for building societies and have attained perfection.
