While in Europe, Muhammad Labib al-Batnuni sent a collection of letters to Al-Ahram newspaper, which published them under the title “A Tour of Spain.” He compiled these letters within the covers of this book to provide a complete vision and a complete picture. The book’s style is distinguished by its avoidance of blatant religious or nationalist bias. The author includes a collection of photographs depicting the beautiful monuments left behind by Arabs and Muslims in Andalusia, in addition to a geographical map of Spain, Portugal, and France as countries reached by the Islamic conquest at one time or another.
