The Bamboo Stalk is a novel by Kuwaiti novelist Saud Alsanousi, for which he won the 2013 International Prize for Arabic Fiction (the Booker Prize). Set between the Philippines and Kuwait, it addresses historical, political, and religious issues and events. A Kuwaiti television series bearing the same name was produced in 2016.
