Description
This book tells the story of creation from a purely scientific perspective. It is essential as an introduction to the history of civilizations built by humans, enabling us to understand the significance of the slow and complex development of this existence. It will provide us with a clear understanding of these civilizations, which represent the latest link in a chain of evolutionary processes that continues to evolve and change daily. They are the product of a still-mysterious being, inhabited by ignorance, narrow-minded fanaticism, and unbridled instincts. They remain incapable of coexisting with one another, despite the tremendous progress achieved in the history of civilizations. Everyone who reads this book will feel comforted, and perhaps purified, on the one hand, because it will cleanse their mind and spirit of all inherited illusory ideas about the origin of the universe, the earth, life, and humanity. On the other hand, they will feel humbled, as they will realize that humans are ordinary beings among a long line of beings, some of whom still live among us and are distinguished by their ability to possess the gift of reason. They will also realize that the Earth is not the center of the universe, but a neglected grain of sand in a distant arm of one of the galaxies. The universe, too, is a giant, ever-expanding bubble that will eventually collapse, shrink, and disappear. Science is what makes humans pure and humble, enabling them to discover the truth without falsification or embellishment. Other activities, such as philosophy, poetry, literature, art, and games, are means of achieving psychological balance, instilling in them contemplation and ecstasy, both before and after knowing the truth revealed by science. They are not, strictly speaking, concerned with uncovering the truth of what happened and what is happening.
