Description
Amir, a twelve-year-old boy, dreams of winning a kite-flying competition. His loyal friend, Hassan, helps him. But neither boy could have imagined what would happen to Hassan that afternoon, an event that would shatter her life.
After the Soviet invasion and the forced flight of Amir and his father to the United States, Amir realizes that, sooner or later, he must return to Afghanistan, under Taliban rule, to find the one thing his new world will not offer him: atonement.
