It is a historical novel that tells the story of the arrest of the philosopher and physician Ibn Sina in his quest to escape the political and religious challenges he faced in his time.

With boredom, the sun of the short winter day inclined slowly towards its daily setting point.. It descended slowly towards it as if it was anticipating touching its inevitable resting place, surrounded by heavy clouds that tend to blacken below it. The approach of sunset and the absence of light from the surrounding areas, casts over them veils of mist mixed with strangeness and mystery, so the nocturnal fantasies filled with the vague and hidden escape from the fears that bring fear and dread, and the crushing feeling of the possibility of dangers approaching the walls is agitated.
These desolate and barren areas, very much, have nothing in them as far as the eye can see except the castle of “Fardqan” that has been here since ancient times, and the years have passed over it until it has come to appear to the contemplator of it, like a bereaved old woman huddled in silence, and to the observer of it from afar it appears alone. Nothing around it but a barren land without buildings, trees or greenery, and a cold wind whistling its storm over the scattered hilltops, and wreaking its defeat among its slopes covered with rough sand, and small and large stones… Even the birds have avoided living and flying in this barren, desolate place, similar in parts as if it were a wilderness.
