It is a book that reveals the secrets and political plans that the major powers used to manipulate the fate of the Middle East during the twentieth century.

The Game of Nations is a book by Miles Copeland (1916-1991, an American agent in the CIA) published in 1969 in 220 pages (for the Arabic version) and its first London edition sold out in just three days. The world has never been shaken in its history – and still is – by a book as much as it was by the publication of “The Game of Nations”. In it, the author depicts nations as chess pieces moved by the US State Department, according to scenarios that agree with “The Game of Nations”, the title of his book. Copeland’s book had the impact of an earthquake for the Arabs, after he accused some of their leaders of treason, and others of being agents. It revealed the secrets of behind-the-scenes diplomacy in the Arab region, and the penetration of the CIA into the ruling systems there. It showed the behavior of Arab rulers and politicians in images that differed from what was common and known about them before the book was published.

The Game of Nations is a book classified as (very dangerous) because it includes secrets related to political crises that remained forgotten, and leaders whose book shook the ground beneath them, and prompted some to re-evaluate their positions on the events that took place during their periods of rule.
