Description
Saddam Hussein, like other Arab leaders, came to power after a series of assassinations and betrayals. Saddam chose what he believed was a wise method for controlling Iraq: dictatorship, a method he learned from the circumstances surrounding him and from history, which witnessed hundreds of kings and emperors who dealt forcefully and violently with all who disobeyed. However, Saddam forgot that he lived in a modern era in which the principles of equality, democracy, and freedom were widespread. These are the slogans of the United States of America, leading the world to more terrorism, racism, oppression, and injustice.
