I always felt that a door leading to a library behind it was not an ordinary door, it was a door that opened to the absolute, to another life that was more amazing, mysterious and magical. It was a door that separated two lives, between a trivial and naive life, and a serious and brilliant life. It was as if the door was the isthmus between these two lives, and therefore it was appropriate that you should strip off your triviality before you took the first step through this gate, and put on the garb of monks who reside in the presence of pure prayers.
