I am a believer in the prophethood of our master and the master of the children of Adam, Muhammad ibn Abdullah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him). I believe in his message, his approach, his ideas, and his miracles… However, you will not find in what I narrate a pause at a miracle, or contemplation of a sign, or veneration no matter how much I add to it; he is above it. I have overcome myself in order to follow one aspect that I see we now need to contemplate. I repeat, it is not a book on the biography, but rather a contemplation of the journey, and a reflection on the steps… I have done my best to stand on the reliable ones, and my preference was mostly for what Muhammad ibn Ishaq documented in his biography, which Imam al-Shafi’i praised by saying: “Whoever wants to delve deeply into the battles is dependent on Muhammad ibn Ishaq.” I also benefited from the writings of contemporaries, especially our Sheikh Muhammad Abu Zahra, and our master Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazali, may Allah’s mercy and pleasure be upon them all.
