Nabil, a cellist in Baghdad, is a dreamy, romantic musician who believes in classical music and pornography and their power to change the world. One day, on his way home with his instrument in a large box on his back, he finds himself face to face with a group of extremists. They smash his instrument, beat him, and humiliate him. Nabil decides to emigrate to Europe and start a new life with music and love. However, there, as he lives with his philosophical ideas, particularly about harmony, Al-Farabi’s ideal city, nude art, and classicism in art, and his love story with Fanny, the beautiful girl with whom he shares a transparent physical relationship, he finds himself confronted by the extreme right, extremist groups in the West, neo-fascism, and its counterpart, Islamic extremism.<\/p>\n
