No sooner does one person embark on a particular path of thought than another emerges to oppose it along different lines. No sooner does one person establish their theory on certain foundations than someone comes along to demolish it from its very ground up. Conflicting claims, divergent approaches, and competing theories continue to dominate all philosophical practice, to the point that some consider this disagreement among philosophers a flaw in the realm of knowledge, a flaw that some ridicule and others condemn. If it is acceptable for philosophers engaged with the Western philosophical model to exhibit such sharp differences, why shouldn’t this philosophical disagreement reach such a degree of intensity that the only solution is to sever ties with this model and embark on the creation of a philosophical model that rivals it? Perhaps this is the predicament of the Arab philosopher who believes that his national culture possesses unique positive qualities that necessitate its philosophy being distinct from that of others, just as his culture is distinct from that of others. He also knows with certainty that the capacity for philosophical creativity cannot be contingent upon… National culture is not imposed from the outside, but must emanate from within.

Therefore, it is imperative that we strive to establish a philosophy unique to us Arabs, distinct from the philosophy of those who, through various pretexts, seek to prevent us from exercising our intellectual freedom. Undoubtedly, the most direct path to creating this philosophy lies in examining these pretexts, the foremost of which is the assertion that philosophy is a rational knowledge encompassing all individuals and nations; that is, philosophy is knowledge and intention. This assertion overlooks or negates a fundamental truth: the philosophical diversity inherent in every nation—beginning with us Arabs, who acknowledge this right for others. This has led us to believe in the necessity for all nations to engage in dialogue with one another. Difference necessitates dialogue, and dialogue is the continuation of inquiry, thus constituting the primary characteristic of philosophy. Consequently, dialogue between different national philosophies is no less indicative of philosophizing than dialogue within a single national philosophy.

A philosophical study that discusses the legitimacy of Arab intellectual difference, and seeks to establish an independent philosophical vision that stems from cultural and linguistic particularity, while criticizing intellectual dependency and philosophical tradition.

[835,834
1359,1084,1163,1343
0":"post-26773","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-sociology","7":"product_cat-philosophy","8":"product_tag-philosophy","9":"product_tag-politics","10":"product_tag-social-sciences","11":"product_tag-thought","12":"pa_book-author-taha-abdul-rahman","14":"first","15":"onbackorder","16":"sale","17":"shipping-taxable","18":"purchasable","19":"product-type-simple
["GET
