It represents his contribution to the call for thinkers and intellectuals to &#8220;reflect and reflect deeply&#8221; on the current state of &#8220;great confusion in the world of ideas,&#8221; from which there is no escape except through collective thinking aimed at generating &#8220;grand ideas&#8221; and arriving at &#8220;supreme ideas&#8221;\u2014the very ideas that have preoccupied the author in his intellectual output.<\/p>\n<p>In ten chapters, the dialogues revolve around the concepts of rationality and modernity, and the development of specific Islamic concepts related to them. The book also addresses discussions of the author&#8217;s projects concerning the importance of creative translation, the independence of the Arab world in its own philosophy, and the relationship between tradition and modernity.<\/p>\n<p>Two appendices, also written by the author, discuss freedom of expression and the right to dissent.
