He became a philosopher because he was a historian. His interest in studying the ancient world is that of a financial historian who tries to write history as a history of civilization, social development, and the advancement of the arts, not as a history of wars, princes, and anecdotes about the splendor of this or that ruler or the generosity of that prince. In this book, we read a description of the first rungs on the ladder of human progress as represented in the civilizations of Babylon and Assyria. Babylon and Assyria were two kingdoms that arose in Mesopotamia, roughly in Iraq. The reader should not assume that there is no connection between the Abbasid Caliphate and the Assyrian Empire. The Abbasid caliphs found the Assyrian and Babylonian peoples in Iraq, and they also found those Jews who had been exiled from Jerusalem to Iraq 1400 years earlier. Even their leader during the Abbasid era based his right to the position on those who had preceded him 1400 years earlier during the exile, that is, the captivity.

The translator, Mahmoud Khairat, took great care in adhering to the original text, and he succeeded admirably. This book should be added to the library of ancient history for every educated Arab.

This is an analytical historical study that examines the rise and development of the Babylonian and Assyrian civilizations, highlighting their political, scientific, and cultural achievements and their influence on the course of ancient civilizations.

[839
1148,1072,1359,1357
post-29573","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-history-and-geography","product_tag-culture","product_tag-history","product_tag-philosophy","product_tag-religions","pa_book-author-gustave-le-bon","first","onbackorder","sale","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
