And if the mark of the first group is in unfamiliar traits that people consider eccentric, then the mark of the second group is in a behavior that the people of the present age can only call alienation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is what Ibrahim al-Koni wrote in the introduction to these texts (The Laws), which he dedicated to an old friend, hoping he might find in them a spirit of the precepts of ancestors from lost times.<\/p>\n<p>These texts, or rather, as I believe, scattered texts, possess the characteristics of a comprehensive text in terms of brevity and conciseness of expression, while simultaneously conveying a wealth of meaning, using simple language, and employing elegant phrasing.<\/p>\n<p>At first glance, these texts appear easy and quick to read. But from the very first pages, I realized I held in my hands a book that would open up worlds of contemplation and delight in understanding the meanings of laws and precepts written by a man with extensive life experience, in addition to his inspiring and deeply respectable creative work.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing it, I arrived at a new understanding of the power of what we read to change us, and I think this quote summarizes what I mean:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe knowledge retained by memory feeds the thirst for words.
