As’ad Ghanem is a senior lecturer in the School of Political Sciences at the University of Haifa. He has written on various topics, such as Palestinian political trends, the establishment of the Palestinian Authority’s political structure, and majority-minority politics from a comparative perspective. His publications include the book *Palestinian Politics after Arafat: A Failed National Movement* (Indiana Series in Middle East Studies). He has also initiated numerous empowerment programs for Palestinians in Israel.
