Emile Habibi

Emile Habibi was a Palestinian Arab writer, journalist, and politician. He was born in Haifa on August 29, 1921, where he grew up and lived until 1956, when he moved to Nazareth, where he remained until his death on May 2, 1996.

“The Strange Events in the Disappearance of Said Abu al-Nahs al-Mutasha’il” is considered one of his most famous novels. Most of these works were published by the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Department of Information and Culture/Dar al-Jalil. The Palestine Liberation Organization awarded him the Jerusalem Medal, the highest Palestinian award.
