Gaston Milhaud—whose name is sometimes rendered in Arabic sources as “Milhaud” (or transliterated as “Mir” or “Milho”)—was a prominent French philosopher, historian of science, and mathematician who lived from 1858 to 1918. He is particularly well-known in the Arab intellectual sphere for his celebrated book *Plato*, which was published as part of the “Figures of Global Thought” (*A‘lām al-Fikr al-‘Ālamī*) series, translated into Arabic by Dr. Bishara Sarji.
