Dr. Haifa Basil Bitar is a Syrian short story writer and novelist. She specializes in ophthalmology and eye surgery at Lattakia Government Hospital and her own private clinic. Born in Lattakia in 1960, she is a member of the Syrian Short Story and Novel Association. She has published numerous short stories and novels.
