Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (736-795 AH) was the eminent scholar, hadith master, and Hanbali jurist, Zayn al-Din Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Abi al-Barakat Mas’ud al-Salami al-Baghdadi al-Dimashqi al-Hanbali, Abu al-Faraj, famously known as Ibn Rajab. He was a Muslim religious scholar, hadith expert, and Hanbali jurist. He is renowned for his commentary on the Forty Hadiths of al-Nawawi and was also the author of Fath al-Bari.
