Iyad Abdul-Hafiz Qunaibi (born October 22, 1975) is a Jordanian academic and Islamic preacher born in Salmiya, Kuwait. He is a lecturer with the rank of university professor in the field of pharmacology, currently working at Jerash University in Jordan. He is considered an influential figure on social media and a prominent public personality. He has numerous contributions to Islamic outreach and intellectual discourse, including articles, books, and videos. He is not officially affiliated with any Islamic organization, although some analysts describe him as being close to the Salafist-Jihadist movement or as one of its ideologues. He had previous connections with Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, a prominent Salafist-Jihadist ideologue in Jordan, but he rejects this characterization, considering it a restriction on his mission. He has been arrested and imprisoned several times for his intellectual publications, most recently in 2015.
