Zuhair Mahmoud Najib Abu Qattam (Abu Firas al-Qatami) Deir Nakhass / Hebron District / Occupied Palestine Born in Ein al-Sultan / Jericho / Palestine on September 14, 1958 Completed his primary education in Ein al-Sultan.
He then continued his preparatory education in UNRWA schools until the third preparatory grade in Hittin Camp.
He completed his secondary education at Taha Hussein School in the Hittin Refugee Camp from 1975 to 1977. He then enrolled at the Naour Teacher Training Institute/UNRWA from 1978 to 1979, graduating with a specialization in elementary education.
He worked as a teacher for UNRWA, in Saudi Arabia, and in private education, before becoming a teacher for the Jordanian Ministry of Education until his retirement in 2018.
He is a member of the Jordanian Library Association, the Jordanian Teachers Syndicate, and several literary forums. He also worked as a proofreader for newspapers.
