Description
The book Adrenaline, by Ahmed Khairy Al-Omari, is part of the “Light in the Galaxy” series, which explores hidden corners to uncover important, often overlooked, matters. The author begins by describing a game played by a flirtatious girl who imposes a kind of long, slow phone call. Objections are raised for reasons unrelated to the core of her actions, and no one shows any displeasure. This reminds him of the hadith about a village whose inhabitants had become corrupt. God commanded the angels of punishment to destroy it, but they said, “Our Lord, there is a righteous, pious servant among them.” He told them, “Begin with him.” That’s because he didn’t show any anger or disapproval for my sake, nor did he object to any wrongdoing. He pauses at this poignant story and uses it to instill in the believer a sense of responsibility for spreading the faith, a concern for its well-being, and a zeal for his religion, making it flow in his veins.
