Description
“My father, a man deeply devoted to his habits, would leave for work early in the morning, toil all day, and when he returned home (at that time, he didn’t work late), he would take a short nap before dinner. Once, during our first week in the new house, before we had fully moved in, he made a remarkable blunder: instead of driving home after work, he went straight to his old house, as he had done for years, parked on the driveway, walked in through the back door, went upstairs, entered the bedroom, lay down on the bed, and fell asleep. He slept for about an hour. Needless to say, when the new lady of the house returned and found a strange man asleep in her bed, she was rather taken aback.” But unlike “the one with the blonde locks,” my father didn’t jump out of bed and run away. The confusion quickly dissipated, and they both laughed heartily at the whole thing.
