Description
Franz Kafka’s “The Trial” is not divided into parts in the traditional sense of serialized novels. Rather, it is a single, unfinished novel. The “third part,” which some collected editions may refer to, is simply the third volume of “Kafka’s Complete Works,” containing the original text along with studies and analyses. It is not an additional chapter of the story itself, as the original novel tells the story of Josef K. and his mysterious trial, which remained incomplete until his death.
